How much are bags of gravel?
A 0.5 ft³ bag of pea gravel costs $4.99 to $9.99 in the store listings we recorded. That is $269 to $539 per cubic yard, because a yard takes 54 bags; a 64-bag pallet at The Home Depot works out to $673 per yard. Bulk pea gravel in our price list is a median of $85.49 per cubic yard before delivery. Bags cost 3.2 to 6.3 times as much per yard. They only win on small jobs, where a delivery fee would cost more than the gravel.

When you need less than the gravel a small delivered load buys. Two yards publish delivered prices for their smallest order: MassMulch in Tewksbury, MA delivers 1 cubic yard of 3/8 inch pea stone for $136.19, and Colson’s Gravel in Morrow, OH delivers 1 ton of #8 pea gravel for $165.00.
